My company, Celebrity Direct Inc. was asked to provide legendary economist Dr. Alan Greenspan as a keynote speaker for a financial services firm sponsoring a China Economic Forum.
I was able to sit with Dr. Greenspan for an hour while we were waiting for his introduction. Of course I wished to discuss his time spent with Ayn Rand when he was young and how she personally influenced him. (I know much more about Rand than the economy, so I was very safe.)
The conference was held in the rooftop Skygarden at The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
For 18 years and four presidents, Alan Greenspan served as head of the Federal Reserve System, and prior to that as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors under President Ford. Since leaving public office Dr. Greenspan has returned to private consultancy.
